Description

This desk is constructed entirely from solid pine wood (Pinus sylvestris), with no particleboard, MDF, or veneers. The wood is sourced from sustainably managed forests and finished with a natural tung oil and citrus solvent mixture, which provides a low-sheen, water-resistant surface. The desktop dimensions are 80 cm wide by 48 cm deep, and the overall height is 76 cm. Two drawers are integrated below the desktop, each measuring 30 cm wide, 35 cm deep, and 7 cm tall. The drawers feature hand-cut dovetail joints at the front and simple box joints at the back, using no metal fasteners for the joinery. Drawer slides are wooden runners with a beeswax coating for smooth operation. The desk is delivered fully assembled except for the drawer pulls (two brass knobs included, requiring screwdriver installation). The desk weighs 18 kg. Maximum load on the desktop is 20 kg; each drawer is rated for 3 kg. Natural variations in wood grain, knots, and color are present and are not considered defects. The oil finish requires reapplication every 12-18 months depending on use. This desk should not be placed near direct heat sources or in direct sunlight for long periods to avoid warping.
